Building Abbreviations

How Building Abbreviations are Used at WPI

Building abbreviations are used first and foremost by the Registrar to list where a class is taking place. For example, SL115 is Salisbury Laboratories, Room 115. In some buildings, such as the Campus Center, rooms are written as CC Hagglund for Campus Center Hagglund Room.

How Building Abbreviations are Written

When used in part with a corresponding room number, they are written of the form "DH412" or "SL015". There is never a space between the building abbreviation and the room number. The room number is almost always three digits (the only exception is Gateway Park, where there are four numbers).
